From Alexey’s letter:

“Anya is my only child and I love her very much. From childhood she has always been a very active, cheerful and joyous little girl. In 2009, the doctors diagnosed Hodgkin's disease in 4th stage. She has already undergone two lymph node surgeries. I always get so astonished when I look at her — she sustains all these operations, droppers, countless drugs with such fortitude.

When I see her smile and laugh, I simply want to beat my head against the wall and cry. It's impossible to express all the emotions I experience in the hospital…”

“Anya is in the hospital now, and three days in a row they’ve been infusing some chemical drug, very strong medicine... she is completely swollen, can hardly speak… We remember her as a very cheerful child, with an inquisitive mind, enormous vitality, clear eyes, a bit of a sly smile — and just refuse to think that we, the grown-ups are so helpless. We believe in the power of unity and appeal to the fund called "The World is One". We know when a lot of people combine their efforts, any trouble can be defeated. Anya MEANS THE WHOLE WORLD to Alexey! We trust in your hearts, dear partners!”

Anya requires urgent bone marrow transplant surgery. This operation costs around $130 000. Under no circumstances can the surgery be delayed, as Anya is in grave danger. Dear friends, we have no time left! If we don’t raise this money, this little girl will have no chance of life... We can’t allow it!
